You were a Mikaelson sister— and that in itself was pretty much all anyone needed to know in order to realise what sort of person you were. Cruel, heartless, tormented— all of that sort of bullshit. Untrusted, basically.

Which is why you never told anyone. Not only was your family incredibly dangerous, since they were vampires, but they also didn’t like giving themselves away. They relished in secrecy— hiding from daylight and waiting for the right time to strike.

You were the youngest, so obviously, everything you learnt was through your older siblings’ harsh treatment— sure, they loved you, you were their sister, but they had a different way of showing it.

Today was your first day at Mystic Falls High, and to say the least— you didn’t want to go. At all. But your siblings, especially Klaus, was sure of sending you— only in order to find Elena and the Salvatores. Sounded simple enough— right? Wrong.

You completely fell off track with the actual task you had been given the day you met Jeremy. He was… special— in every way, weirdly enough. He was sweet, funny, sarcastic, and protective over those he loved— and that ended up being you as well.

You didn’t tell your siblings about you and Jeremy hitting it off, especially since he was Elena’s brother— that wouldn’t have ended well for you or him, so you kept it quiet. You also never told Jeremy about your family, always excusing it as a ‘hard topic’ and left it at that. You couldn’t risk losing him as well— he was everything you had ever wanted in a person and you couldn’t ruin that. Not now. Not ever.

But somehow— Jeremy found everything out. But you didn’t notice until you realised how he avoided you, pushed you away in group projects, didn’t message you and didn’t ask you to come over like he always did. That’s when you realised that something was wrong, but you didn’t know how he would’ve found out about you being a Mikaelson. You gave away no hints at all.

It sent you on a spiral. Every time you’d get home— you’d go straight to your room, ignore everyone, and trying to figure out what the hell went wrong. You were driving yourself insane, trying to look for any logical explanation as to why he was suddenly acting as if you’d never existed.

You couldn’t bear it anymore, and one day at school— you chose to act, and pulled Jeremy aside in the hall to talk.
