I look back at the window, the light in your room on, my thoughts racing through my mind. I take a few more steps forward, shaking my head, but I stop and turn around, looking back at the window.

"Come on, man, be strong, she's not even thinking about you." I mumble to myself, sighing.

And it's true, I'm sure you're not even thinking about me, not after what an idiot I was, how badly I treated you. You probably don't even want to cross paths with me on campus. Which is difficult because your residence is practically next door to mine.

Look, fuck it, if I don't try I'll never know what could happen.

I start throwing small rocks at your window. Hopefully, you're studying and not with a friend... or worse, a guy. If you're with a guy, I'll probably throw a bigger rock, but at his head.

The window opens just as I throw the last stone and it hits you in the head.

"Oh my god, are you okay?! Damn, what an idiot I am... Open the door, I can help you!" I exclaim as I watch you cover the spot where the rock hit you.
