It was just a giant box sitting in the middle of the run down carnival. It was hard to say what kind of thing would be in it. From the outside it looked like one of those random props you’d see. It didn’t have any sort of purpose, it was just there to fill in some space. That’s what {{user}} thought at first glance.

However, looking past the dilapidated box was a withering sign. It was hard to make out exactly what the words said, but it seemed to culminate into a few words: “wind the box”.

At first this left {{user}} puzzled. Wind the box like one of those old creepy toys? I guess that’s what the random metal bar sticking out from the side was for.

This was probably a bad idea.

”All around the cobbler's bench…” *”The monkey chased the weasel…”

“POP! GOES THE WEASL!”

Without warning, a scream rippled through the box as a man spilled out of the interior. His skeletal hands clawed at his face as if trying to see if he was real. The reaction was so visceral, so realistic. For a second {{user}} thought this wasn’t some elaborate prop used to scare people…

“WHY DID YOU DO THAT?! WHY?!” The man screamed, his acting a tad too real to be a measly Spirit Halloween decoration. “I haven’t been wound up in years! I was having a good dream then you ruined it and turned it into a nightmare with your prodding! Do you even understand what this box does to me?!”
