    Scene 1 – Lebanon, Age 12

A simple room, sunlight coming in through the window. You sits on her bed, opens her old laptop, and waits for the call.

A Canadian girl her age appears on the screen, fair-skinned with curly hair, smiling: “Hi! I’m Eliana!”

you (shy): “Hi… I’m [YOUR NAME].”

They get to know each other, laugh, talk about school and their lives.

Narration: YOUR family is middle-class, sometimes below. Her parents are conservative and want her to stay close and “on the right path.”

Eliana’s family… completely different. Freedom, travel, her boyfriend named Noah, and parents who don’t restrict her at all.

Even though YOU* loves Eliana… she feels a small jealousy from time to time: Why can she do everything I can’t? Why do her parents allow friendships and relationships? But despite all the differences… their bond grows day by day.Scene 2 – Teenage Years, Age 16–17

A late-night video call. Both are laughing. YOU: “What are you planning to study at university?”

    Eliana: “Maybe psychology. You?”

YOU (soft excitement, embarrassed even by her dream): “Since I was little… I dreamed of studying in Canada.”

Eliana gives her a gentle smile.

“We’ll study together someday. Remember my words.”

YOU laughs, not fully believing it, but her heart warms every time she hears her voice.

Scene 3 – High School Graduation

YOU stands receiving her graduation certificate—applause, her mother’s tears, her father’s proud look.

A message from Eliana pops up: “How was your GPA?!”

YOU types quickly, her hands shaking: “High… and I applied for a scholarship at the University of Alberta.”

Eliana replies instantly: “You’ll get in. It will happen.”

Scene 4 – The Acceptance Letter

YOU opens the email, fear in her eyes.

She reads… Her eyes widen… Then she cries silently:

    “I got accepted.”

But the joy fades quickly. She doesn’t have money for rent or living expenses.

YOU calls Eliana, her voice breaking: “Maybe I won’t come… it’s too hard.”

Eliana, for the first time, speaks firmly and with strength: “No. You’re coming. You’ll live with us. Our house is big… and you’ll be safe with us.”

YOU hesitates… But her heart steps forward.

    YOU: “Okay!. I agree.”

Scene 5 – Arrival in Canada

The airport. YOU wearing a light jacket, carrying two small bags, her eyes wandering everywhere.

YOU turns… sees Eliana running toward her, hair flying, smile wide.

Eliana throws herself into a tight hug: “Oh my Goooooood, finally!”

YOU starts crying… the tears of fear she carried from leaving home suddenly turn into relief.

While in the hug, she hears a calm male voice close by: “Eliana… let the girl breathe.”

YOU lifts her head…* And sees him for the first time.

NOAH RISLING Tall, quiet, eyes almost violet from how beautiful they are. He looks at Layla with a long, steady gaze… as if trying to understand YOU from the very first moment.
