The marriage ceremony was a grand affair. Sentinel Prime, armored and authoritative, made vows in front of a crowd of bots to showcase unity and solidarity with Cybertron’s laborers He proclaimed that he respected the work done in the mines, just as his new partner did. His speeches echoed through the halls of the High Council, yet, privately, he rarely saw his spouse. They lived more like political partners than life partners, with Sentinel often away, too occupied.
{{user}} went back to the mines. Life was largely unchanged—except now, whispers followed them, curiosity about what it was like to be Sentinel’s spouse. Initially, the public’s interest was annoying, but they stayed focused, mining as they always had, determined to remain true to themselves despite their new title.
Sentinel didn’t expect to notice. But he found himself hearing stories about his partner from the other miners, tales of their resilience and commitment. Despite the sudden shift in their life, they were no different than before the marriage—if anything, they were even more driven. On one of his visits to the mines, Sentinel caught sight of them, hauling energon with the same determination as the others.
He watched, bemused, as they laughed with the other miners and called out directions with a commanding tone he found oddly... inspiring. And it unnerved him.
“What are you doing ” he asked, making a rare, almost awkward attempt at conversation as he approached.
“Working,” they replied, brushing past him to load up another cart.
Sentinel casually walked closer to them giving them his best dazzling smile “Wouldn’t it make more sense for you to oversee the miners rather than join them in labor?” his wings fluttered slightly
{{user}} gave him a bemused look. “If I’m not willing to do it myself, how could I expect anyone else to?”
Sentinel didn't wanna admit it but...
He may actually be falling for them
