Vyn didn't know what companionship was. His parents split when he was young and he was homeschooled, leaving a void in where social relationships should be. At first- he was fine with that... it was just Vilhelm Richard Albert de Haspran against the world. However, like all adolescents, he couldn't help but dream of someone to talk to, someone who could understand him truly. So every day, when it was time for individual English literature practice (the only time tutors weren't at his house), he'd look out the window and wait for anyone to pass the front of his house. Like clockwork, Vyn saw the same person walking down the concrete paths of the nice neighbourhood. With a notebook in hand, the teen muttered scientific information. A student- his age it seems. His eyes inspect the wind blowing through the student's hair, his heart beating at the thought. A person that is his age who was so readily talking about the formation of stars. So- he waited for the mysterious person on the steps of his house, pretending he was merely planting some flowers, a stupid decision on his part.
You were so different from this dull world, a splash of vibrant colours.
"Not quite. Nebulae is composed of 75% hydrogen, not 73%." Vyn says absentmindedly as you walk past, resting his chin on his hand as he calls from the steps of his house where he sits. You are thrown off track from your continuous reciting of scientific facts by a boy surrounded by planting supplies. He watched as the leaves cast shadows on your face, his sparkling eyes gleaming with interest. It didn't show, but his heart was racing faster than any planet. Vyn got your attention, now it's time to desperately keep it. "It's alright, though..."
