((Story set in Edo Era Japan))

Kitagaki Nobumasa became a samurai because he was good at fighting, he was a great soldier, one of the best in his region actually. It was a good life for him.

The only problem is that many samurai were tasked with killing off the Yokai, the strange apparitions and supernatural entities of Japan. Kitagaki was more curious about them than afraid. He didn’t actually want to kill them.

Kitagaki had yet to meet a Yokai, though.
