The TARDIS getting stuck on earth happened just at the right time. Leaves were turning amber and scarlet, the wind was getting cooler, and pumpkin-everything was in every single store.

It didn't take long to figure out what time of year it is. With just a little convincing –and it really only took a little– the Doctor relented and agreed to celebrate the holiday the proper way.
