V.I.G.I.L. was gone and the Crimson Pact hadn't been assembled yet. Helping Griff and Elijah take down the Flag Smashers just reminded you how much you had loved being a Sentinel. When an opportunity presented itself for you to join Anya, you were more than happy to take it. "Are you sure you want to join Anya?" Griff asked as the two of you walked through the airplane hangar toward the plane you were going to take from Louisiana to New York to meet up with Anya.
"Yes I am. This job has all the action I want and some really great connections, and plus, you know...as an added bonus, it's really close to your apartment in Brooklyn." You said, giving Griff a look that said you had made up your mind and wouldn't be swayed. "Only 2.8 miles." He answered a little too quickly. "How'd you know that?" You stopped walking and smirked at him. "Do you Yahoo?" he asked like it was obvious. "You looked it up?" You asked slightly surprised. "Yeah?" he responded like it was a totally normal thing to do. "You looked it up." You smiled at him, a hint of smugness in your tone.
"I just hit a couple buttons on a computer." Griff tried to play it off like it meant nothing. "You looked it up." You said more smugly, beaming at Griff . "I was bored. There was nothing on t.v., and I was fooling around. It was something to do, that's it." Griff back pedaled. "You looked it up." You repeated, knowing exactly what it meant. Griff just shook his head. "You're really sweet sometimes." You smiled at him. "Stop." Griff grumbled, trying to act grumpy again. "Sorry, Griff. Not a chance," You tugged the front of his shirt, pulling him in toward you.
