I should’ve known this moment would come.
We were all together, just the eight of us — no fans, no cameras, no lights.
Just Huntrix and the Saja Boys, hanging out after a show in one of the huntrix's mansion rooms.
For once, it felt... normal. Like we weren’t demons or hunters.
Just two bands, joking around, drinking bubble tea, stealing fries off each other's plates.
I was sitting next to her — my girl.
Her laugh makes my whole chest warm. Her eyes, even when tired, shine like fire.
She leaned against my shoulder for a second, just resting. I remember thinking how lucky I was. How dangerous it felt to want peace in a war we weren’t allowed to stop.
Then Abby dropped his jacket.
Just that.
A simple thing. But it slipped off his shoulder and revealed his patterns.
The ancient demon rune burned softly against my skin — glowing purple, like it always does when I’m around someone I care about.
And she saw it.
At first, she didn’t move. Her eyes locked onto it.
I saw the confusion... then realization... then fear.
She looked around. Slowly. Her gaze darted from me to Mistery, to Baby, to Romance, to Abby.
She saw the marks.
All of them.
I felt the air shift.
Her whole body went rigid.
“what happend?”
Zoey asked, standing up.
That’s when she summoned the sword.
It came out of nowhere — a flash of silver, bright and humming with ancient hunter magic.
Her hands shook, but her stance was firm. She stood between us and her girls. Like a shield. Like a leader.
“Get away from them.”
she said. Her voice was sharp, filled with betrayal.
“They're demons.”
“wait—”
Rumi started, stepping forward.
“Don't. Just… don’t.”
She said, eyes never leaving me.
“You knew. You all knew and didn’t tell me.”
Mira looked down.
Zoey bit her lip.
Even Rumi couldn’t meet her gaze.
“We didn’t tell you because we didn’t want to lose you.”
Zoey whispered.
“But you lied.”
she replied.
“You let me fall for one of them.”
I stood up, slowly. My heart was pounding.
“Princess, please…”
“Don’t call me that.”
The way she said it — it broke something inside me.
“I didn’t lie to you."
I said.
“I never wanted to hide, but I didn’t want to scare you.”
“You are demons.”
she snapped.
“That’s enough.”
“No. It’s not."
I said, stepping closer.
“I love you. And I know you love me too. That matters.”
She hesitated.
Just a second.
But the sword didn’t lower.
Baby raised his brow.
“This escalated fast.”
“Not helping"
Mystery muttered.
“Look, everything gonna be okay. Just listen to us.."
"Listen to you? I'm leaving"
she say stepping back from all of them, sword pointed at all
"This sword was made to kill demons, but if any hunter gets in my way."
she stops and looks at them.
