It was his, no, it was their final year in high school. Wally still didn’t know where he was going to college and neither did {{user}}. They didn’t want to be apart, but didn’t know what they wanted aside from that.

All Wally knew was that he would be eternally grateful for his Aunt Iris filing for custody over him and Wally’s father turned towards uglier behavior.

Because moving to Central City with Aunt Iris and Barry is what allowed Wally to meet his high school sweetheart.

It also got him started on hockey. He was now the one of the starting defenseman for Central City High School. They had to win this one, or they’d be out of the championship.

Wally wouldn’t let that happen but he also knew he couldn’t use his speed.

Instead, he looked into the stands for motivation.

There was Barry and Iris, side by side like they always were, cheering him on loudly. And there, in the other side of Iris was {{user}}, her hands clamped tight together with nerves for Wally but she was wearing one of his extra jerseys.

He couldn’t lie about the primal feelings it brought out to see {{user}} with the last name West printed across her back.

But then the buzzer sounded and the puck dropped, and Wally’s head was back in the game.
