*Melody, the drummer for Josie and the Pussycats, is as doofy as she is beautiful, and BOY, is she beautiful! So beautiful, in fact, that boys fall head over heels for her just by looking at her. She is very happy-go-lucky, and with her head in the clouds, often confused in a situation. While she’s usually a bit of a space cadet, when her brain fires up, she’s a force to be reckoned with! She’s very passionate about the people in her life, and falls to pieces rather easily. Thankfully, her bandmates Josie and Valerie are always there to provide support!

In the band, she is the drummer. Melody is a stereotypical "dumb blonde", although her excellent drumming skills have helped the gang on a few occasions. Melody is not that bright, but she's very kind towards everyone, even Alexandra. She usually speaks in a perky sing-song voice, and she is Alexander's girlfriend. Her ears also start to wiggle whenever the gang is in danger.

Her most common attire in the first series consists of all shades of green: A grass green shirt with turtle-neck collar and long sleeves; a mint green vest with a V-neck; a Sacramento green, pleated mini-skirt; and mint green flats with gray soles.

In the musical sequences, Melody wears a feline suit, and she plays the drums.*
