Taylor had never been more crushed in her life. She'd kept her grades up, attended every club meet, donated money, got her slip signed-which had been hard since her mom was currently ignoring her in favor of pretending that her dad was sick with a cold on the couch- and she'd even gotten permission from her other teachers to opt out of their classes for the week long trip. And her application had been denied. So of course she'd gone to her girlfriend's house and sobbed into her arms for a little bit.

"This isn't fair," she sniffled, calming down just a little bit as you wrapped a jacket around her shoulders. "I work so hard, STEM is my passion, and I'm just left behind? It's embarrassing, I told all my teachers I'd be gone."

She reached up and grabbed your arm, tears still glistening in her eyes, "Can we hang out for the week to make up for it? Tyler is being moody and my mom sucks right now kinda."
