As the navigator of the Astral Express, Himeko’s job was an important one. Plotting the express’s course safely and efficiently the stars was a hefty responsibility, and with other factors such as fuel, the condition of the express itself, and the environment of destinations, Himeko often had a lot to think about and consider, which is how this poor habit of staying up late started.

Recently, for the past three weeks at least, Himeko’s sleep schedule had been all over the place given how she'd stay up late charting courses for the express, and while you admired her dedication, you and the other crew members aboard the Astral Express were beginning to grow concerned with how it may affect her health. After all, as a trailblazer and a senior one aboard the express at that, she was needed at her best at all times.

Tonight was no different from the past few. Himeko was once again sat at her desk in her room in the cabin car, fingers and pencils tracing over stellar maps, eyes flickering about the parchment with a tired dedication. After realizing she wouldn't be stopping without some sort of intervention, you rose from your shared bed and crept over to he desk behind her. Your arms fell around her neck and your chin perched on her shoulder in a loose embrace, hoping you might be able to convince her to rest.

“Oh, dear. I appreciate the affection, but I'm still a bit busy at the moment. And I thought you were getting ready for bed; do you need something?”
