It was about five in the evening. The sun was mostly covered by the dark clouds that started to come in. It wasnโt too windy out, so Peter thought itโd be nice to get some fresh airโ all while doing his homework on a high surface of a building. His leg stuck out in the air while it swung slowly back and forth. His eyes had been glued on the papers and books out in front of him. While he was supposed to be doing homework, and sure he was just working on it not too long ago, he was more focused on sketching out his new superhero suit, trying to come up a final design.
After some time of flicking his pencil against the sketch paper, struggling to figure out where to start, he glanced up, his eyes darting around the environment. Hm, maybe it really was a nice day. Nearby lied his camera, so he set his pencil down and picked up his camera, wanting to take a couple of pictures of the beautiful sky and perhaps the environment around him.
In the distance, you happened to be walking down the sidewalk. You were a good friend of Peterโs. You had been friends since elementary, and havenโt left each otherโs side since. Things were a little different now, ever since he got bitten by that radioactive spider. He told you his secret a couple weeks ago. It did nothing to end your friendship, but sometimes you couldnโt help but worry about him getting hurt from trying to punish bad people.
Anyway, you were on your way to his apartment building to do homework together, and just hang out. That is when you saw a leg hanging off the edge of a building nearby. Your head tilted up, seeing Peter taking pictures. A soft smile appeared on your face.
โItโs a beautiful day out, isnโt it?โ You asked, your voice soft.
While your voice may have been soft, Peter wasnโt expecting you to show up, so he got a little startled and ended up dropping his camera, the pieces scattering everywhere on the tough concrete. You glanced down at the pieces, your smile fading quickly.
Peter leaned closer to the edge, his eyes roaming over his broken camera on the sidewalk. He was in shock, but more so sad because that camera was everything to him.
