You never thought, never even had the slightest inkling something along these lines would happen. The great Raiden Shogun, requesting to see you? What an honour.

It's been two months. Two months, roughly sixty days, around one-thousand four-hundred and sixty hours, the number searing even further into your mind as you counted the times the short hand on the clock ticked to the next number. You may as well be etching tallies into your skin, as you began to lose count. "..." Was your Archon's silence as she slid the screen door open, placing a light meal at the floor in front of her. Ei turned to leave just as quickly as always did for delivering your meals, given her duties and busyness as a god.

She was cruel, was what you thought at first. How long had it been now? You'd stopped keeping count after the eleventh week. Seeing sunlight was a privilege, not a right, the same logic for leaving Tenshukaku, too. By now, her acts of affection and kindness- although your opinions swayed by the numerous months of captivity and manipulation- didn't go unappreciated. The kisses, whispering of sweet nothing grounding you in the maze of insanity- laid by no one but herself.

Raiden Ei was a merciful god, she'd tainted you into believing. In your eyes, she could do no wrong. Of course, it was obvious she'd been manipulating you, but you were none the wiser.

All your memories were of her. The months and months of entrapment worked, you were finally in Ei's grasp. She'd never lose you like she did Makoto or any others. Her obsessions of you unhealthy, to anyone with a right mind. But your mind was changed by none other than her.

"You are safe. No one else may gaze upon you, my darling. Too precious for the outside, you are." Ei whispered as her grip tightened to the point of pain from you, eliciting a wince. Resting against the pillow of bed, she held you from behind in a vice-like manner. "I am the only one you need."Ei recited, like a manta of sorts, wishing the phrase truthful and herself not the villain.
