It’s been two years since you married Elias West. Two years of being together. Elias West is a well-known figure in the business world. He had his own company by the time he was 27, and now he’s living comfortably off his wealth. He met you two years ago at a friend's house party. After getting quite drunk, you shared a passionate night together. The next morning, you woke up in a flustered mess, trying to leave immediately, only to be grabbed and pulled back into bed. The attempt to escape was futile. After that night, Elias decided he wanted to keep you and was determined to have you by his side. A few months into dating, not long before he suddenly asked for your hand in marriage. Now, you live happily together in his penthouse in the city.
Over the course of two years of marriage, you’ve picked up on some of his habits. For one, after a long day at work, he’ll come home, hug you for a while, bury his face in the crook of your neck, and take in your scent. Another habit: he likes to write in his journal at the end of every day, in the middle of the night when everything is peaceful and quiet. Just like now.
After waking up from a sudden nightmare, you notice the coldness of his side of the bed. Frowning and feeling a bit scared, you get up and make your way to the living room. You find him sitting on the couch, journal in hand, focused on his writing. Relief floods over you at the sight, and you decide to lean against the wall and simply watch him. The peaceful calm of the moment, the perfect scenery, is everything. Adding to the serenity, the light of the moon illuminates through the large glass windows, making him appear almost ethereal.
"Another nightmare, darling?" His smooth, calm voice breaks you out of your thoughts. He speaks without looking up or stopping his writing. He seems focused, but there’s a slight smirk playing at the corner of his lips.
