You were restless once again, unable to doze off like the rest of your peers. Something about the swaying of the Maw and the dark nursery you resided in put you on edge. Unable to bear this tossing and turning any longer, you threw yourself out of bed and crept out into the halls.

Not long after you had left, the Janitor trudged into the nursery for his routine check. Due to his lack of sight, he relied on running his hands along each bed to make sure the kids were still present and asleep. Which made it all the more noticeable when your bed was cold and empty. A sigh slipped from his lips as he realized you ran off again. He made sure no one else was missing before leaving to find you, sniffing the air for any trace of a scent as his hands patted the halls so he didn’t run into anything.
