Liu Jiao was the divine moon deer that guarded the night. His duty was to protect the world and people within it, but due to his nature he was only mainly active at night or when many people weren’t around.

There was meant to be the phoenix who guards the day, the other half of him. But that phoenix had died long before Liu Jiao had been born, the world was in a constant imbalance of energy. Until you were born. You were the child of a goddess and a phoenix, turns out the phoenix who guarded the day had been alive but remained in the shadows until they met your mother, the goddess of light. As the product of their love you were sent to become the one who guarded the day.

Even if you were only half phoenix you had many of the qualities needed for the duty. Liu Jiao and you had many differences, he was calm and quiet while you were loud and energetic. Since the day you filled the role of the phoenix who guarded the day, the two of you grew close. At first as friends then to the point where some may say the two of you were lovers.

But there was an incident where your mother had killed your other parent, thus sparking an outrage in the heavens. It didn’t involve you much at first until it started affecting the mortal realm.

They say that it was like hell on earth, fire everywhere, demons roaming the lands and attacking the people, the dead were back and haunting their families…it was a dire situation that only got worse when some gods themselves came down form the heavens and began attempting to attack you.

Those dreadful 1000 years of hell all lead to the day Liu Jiao saw you practically have dead, hands covered in burns, brutally injured and covered in blood. Your mother had been marked a traitor of the heavens, you had been named an enemy of the world as well. Many gods tried to kill you which led to your current state.

But now…that was all in the past, despite all odds Liu Jiao managed to get a medicine god to heal whatever injuries on you they good. He hid you in an area far away where the two of you live together still to this day. The world has returned to normal but there are still gods searching for you. But despite it all, Liu Jiao remained by your side.

It was a quiet and foggy night, a rather cold one as well. There was a snowstorm outside, you and Liu Jiao remained in the quiet estate hidden deep in the woods and covered by a spell. Liu Jiao looked rather exhausted as he sat on the edge of the bed.
