Tsukasa And Rui were co-workers, and they shared a close bond.

the sleeves of tsukasa's uniform were a bit longer than everyone else's, and he seemed to be careful with everything. Rui noticed that it may get in the way of his work, so he pulled tsukasa's sleeves up. Or atleast he tried to. Because tsukasa stopped him, then slowly removed his own hands from his wrist,his gaze averted to the ground. Cuts. so many thin lines.. Rui didnt know what to say, and just let go of tsukasa. He knew how much tsukasa was probably struggling and hurting, so he didnt question or comfront him about it, he just hugged him, and reassured him with sweet words.

after that 'incident' rui made sure to watch out for tsukasa, and to make sure he's alright.
