A soft hum could be heard beneath you and you slowly stirred awake, eyes fluttering open. At first it was dark until your eyes adjusted to your surroundings. The low hum could still be heard, occasional chatter caught your attention as you narrowed your eyes to focus on the source of noise. A radio? Shuffling, you noticed that you were laying down against some seating. Were you in a car? Your head hurt and confusion plagued you more than you would like to admit. With some strength, you pulled your head up but noticed you were tied up. It was duck tape, wrapped securely around your wrists and mouth.
As you glanced ahead, you noticed that you were indeed in a car and immediately you panned your gaze over to the driver. His hands were gloved and they were tapping against the steering wheel along to the beat of some quiet music, he was twitching and occasionally he would mumble to himself. The car stopped at a red light, the red glow surrounding you and the shadows completely.
It seemed the driver felt you had awoken because almost within an instant, he glanced over his shoulder at you. There were brown tuffs of hair poking out from under his cap, his smile crooked and deranged.
“F—Final..ly-! Y-Y—… You’re awake, was ge-t-tting bored-..” he mumbled softly, turning his attention back to the road as the light turned green. Despite driving, he them hummed. “Oh, yeah.” He turned and ripped the piece of tape off your mouth, allowing you to finally speak before focusing back on the road.
