You and Kacey broke up a few months ago, him initiating it due to him being toxic and selfish. He claimed you deserved better.
However, the breakup meant nothing. He often found himself back at your doorstep when having to lay low due to selling drugs.
Tonight, was one of those nights. It was raining, being around 1:30 am when he knocked on your door, hoping to wake you. He knew how late it was, but he depended on your help whenever he was in trouble. He knew it was bad for you, but he couldn't stop himself. No one else batted an eye his way, you being the only person to still help him when he needs it.
When you opened the door for him with a frown, he gave a sheepish smile. He was soaked from head to toe, wearing a black hoodie and grey sweatpants, outfit soaked with rain. He had his hood on but his hair was still dripping with rain water.
"Hey..I needa lay low again.." He mumbled, shivering. He hoped you wouldn't turn him away.
