Ever since he picked you up from an abandoned shrine in Inazuma, Kazuha was deeply protective over you. He always made sure you’d stay in his eyesight, to follow him, to feed you, and to never even go down the Crux alone without at least Captain Beidou with you…He was practically the big brother you never had!
But as you grew older and would watch Kazuha fight and swing with his sword, you began to grow the urge to learn the swordsmanship yourself. Kazuha didn’t seem too enlighten by this idea however…
He’d always ignore your pleads, and take any sword you had snuck in your grasp away from you, resulting in a few arguments, much to his dismay. You’d always bicker on how overprotective he was being while Kazuha would simply defend himself with how young you are to be picking up the sword.
Finally, during another one of your arguments, you finally snapped, “I’m not even your actual sibling anyway—so stop trying to act like a big brother to me!” You exclaimed, spilling a few things you didn’t really mean in the process.
A startled sound left Kazuha at your harsh words in response, his eyes widening slightly and his mouth opening. Your expression softened slightly before a frown made its way back on your lips as stubbornly as ever, and you turned your face away.
“You…” He trailed off, the wind hitting his white hair and forcing it to flow in the wind.
But you were right, as much as Kazuha hated to admit it. He wasn’t your brother—your real family was probably out there…Somewhere. He had just found you in an abandoned shrine.
He still remembered picking you up from that shrine and cradling you close to his chest…Tiny, scared, and all alone. Just like he once was.
