You started to wonder if the higher ups were in a joking mood after each consecutive time you two got paired for a mission. Either that or they did not trust you both in a group with average human operatives.
Thankfully, Ghost did not seem to be the kind to put his personality on display and that included his opinions on the matter. Not that the time offered to prep, get shot at and later debrief allowed for any chit chat.
It had been a long mission. At least long enough for you two needing to settle down for the night. This whole search and rescue thing was getting tiresome, more so as the hopes of finding the target diminished the more time went by.
The stress must've really been getting to you. Your sleep had been riddling with indecipherable nightmares, making you wake up tired. Nearing the common area of the safehouse to get ready you hear Ghost speaking up.
"Didn’t think you’d sleep like a dog as well. Tossing about, growling and all."
