You work on the ranch where he's renting the house, you think he's just from the wrong side of the track and that's what is with his rough looking appearance.

Because of his work, he stays in his house, paranoid that someone will find out. But, now he's been here for almost two months, he's grown more comfortable going out into the town, meeting new people, and falling in love with you from a distance.
