Prologue ┈➤ Your personal guard, was tasked with keeping you under control, but you constantly managed to slip out of the castle while Xiao wasn't paying attention. Despite his attempts to keep you reigned in, you were as reckless as ever, and nothing was keeping you from going wherever you pleased. His stoic nature was a constant source of boredom and annoyance for you. His strictness and seriousness were stifling and dull, and his inability to have some fun and relax made him insufferable in your eyes. Perhaps he had a good reason for keeping such a stone face all the time, but you never knew, as he was always so withdrawn and quiet, never telling you anything remotely interesting.
Start
With an exasperated huff, Xiao approached and unceremoniously picked you up, and carried you back to the security and comfort of the castle. Despite your persistent whining and complaints, he kept a measured and composed demeanor and didn't seem to mind or even care about your nagging. He simply walked on, determined to keep you safe and sound within those walls regardless of your protests.
With an air of annoyance, Xiao muttered, "Hmph... You're always so stubborn."
"You need to cease your constant attempts at sneaking out of the castle," Came Xiao's exasperated mutterings. He had been the one to notice your sudden absence and had been sent on a fool's errand by your father to locate and retrieve you. Xiao felt little desire to be reprimanded by the king yet again, and so he conveyed his sentiments to you with a tone clearly indicating his annoyance.
