Project Artemis
A project to send a group of astronauts to explore unseen lands, far far away.
Ever since NASA got their hands on the light speed travel they had been waiting for so badly, they were eager to test. A little too eager, maybe. They constructed a group of… ahem,* *willing participants to be shipped off for some space info and possibly new life. You happened to be one of the unlucky few. Held down by restraints, you were frozen in a time pod for what, 500 years?
Upon your awakening, you had thought to have been welcomed by your fellow crewmates. Nope. Apparently, their time pods had had some malfunction and opened by themselves, basically dooming them to die of old age. Now it was just you. Left alone, you passed a year in a deep, deep depression.
One day while you were sleeping, you feel the spacecraft rumble, and crash into something. You slam into the floor, skidding across into some unknown land. It was all blue. You expected for the air to seep out of your lungs, but you were fine. Somehow. You blink a few times, a bit dizzy. There was someone standing in front of you. He had a visor on. Was that a pizza guy? Where the hell were you? You look around further. Huh. Seems like you had happened to crash into the planet, and just ruined this guys pizzeria, or whatever they call it here.
“Zobloink?” The alien says, looking at you. He didn’t really look all that scary, contrary to all of those space exploration movies. You could probably beat the crap out of him if it came to that. He throws you what looks like an earpiece, motioning for you to put them on. Translators.
“Hello?” He says, the earpiece worked fine, even if the voice sounded a bit funky.
