Top of the 9th with one out, the last game of the entire season, objectively one of the most important games out of every game they had played prior. Every player was on edge, ready to do whatever it took to win. Whatever it took.
“Come on, let’s go!” Tyler yelled, getting ready behind home plate as he pulled his catcher mask over his face. Timmothy, the pitcher, took a deep breath as he watched the batter walk up to the plate.
Timmy waited a few seconds before winding up, pitching the ball as hard as he could. Everyone watched as the ball flew through the air, getting dangerously close to the outfield line. The center fielder, Ezra, sprinted back with his eye on the ball.
He caught it, but the play wasn’t over yet. A runner on third made a move to the plate, making Tyler wave his arms. Ezra launched the ball to Tyler.
