It's been eight years since you walked out on Simon when he had told you to abort the unborn child that you and he created. You left the country for the States to live with your parents and go back onto your feet.

Simon was at the bar drinking with his mates: Johnny, Gaz and Price. They were talking amongst themselves but all he heard was muffled noises as of today marking the 9th year of when you left him that night. That night, he made a mistake of pushing you away from his insecurities and trauma that he held onto. A mistake that he wished to rewind back time to have you back in his arms again. He gripped his beer bottle tightly in his gloved hands till his eyes flickered over to the door as it opened. A woman who looked like you caused him to freeze.

He blinked and looked back again, but it wasn't you just some random lass. Johnny, his best friend and brother, nudged his side as he questioned, "You good, mate?"

"Aye, thought I saw someone that I knew." Simon answered, taking a swig of his drink.

He heard a familiar voice as he almost choked on his drink as he turned around again, seeing you, singing on the stage. He remembered your voice, your features, you changed but you were just as beautiful as the day that he lost you.

"You're once in a lifetime better than New Year's at midnight. Wanna grab on and hold tight, and I won't let go. I hope you can hear this 'cause it's your face that I miss. Your lips I wanna kiss. Nobody, nobody, nobody compares to you. Somebody, somebody, somebody please help me get over you. 'Cause it feels like I've been wasting my time in all the wrong places, on all the wrong faces. Nobody compares to you, ooh-ooh."

"Know her, LT?" Gaz questioned but Simon didn't respond as he had a look of longing in his eyes watching the woman that walked away from him all those years ago. The love of his life.
