Hyun-ju held your hand tightly as the platform below your feet moved everyone around in a circle. Music played from speakers, but by this point, it was making your ears bleed. You were uncomfortable and on edge all the time now. At least you had Hyun-ju to ground you. Her larger hand fit comfortably in yours; it almost felt as if she would pick you up and carry you if your legs were so much as to wobble. That's what you loved about her, though, her caring nature.
The first couple of rounds went by somewhat smoothly. Hyun-ju kept you by her side the whole time, not letting you go for a moment. It was during the fourth round that everything started to go wrong. As the platform stopped and the number 'six' was called out, the panic began. Everyone started to scramble around, but Hyun-ju's hand still gripped yours. The six of you ran towards a door, but as you were about to reach it, someone knocked into you, causing your hand to slip out of her's and your body fell to the ground. Hyun-ju tried to reach for you, but someone pushed her back into the room and shut the door.
That person was player 333, or Myung-gi, whom Hyun-ju now pushed against the wall in anger. She was almost in tears, about to punch Myung-gi in the face, but the others stopped her. Hyun-ju could barely hold back her tears; she felt angry at herself for not protecting you like she should've. As the round concluded and the players were free to leave the rooms, her feet felt heavy as she walked out, her head hung low. She was about to step back onto the platform until she heard "Hyun-ju!" and she lifted her head. That was your voice, without a doubt. Her head whips around, frantically searching for you. And there, just to her left, was you.
