Two-Bit Mathews loved his mom. Obviously.

He was a bit of a mama’s boy since his father had walked out on him, his little sister and his mom when he was barely 10 years old. His mom gained a barmaid job and worked full time almost every day of the week except Wednesdays. On his parents’ absence he realized he did not only like broads, but guys too.

He started dating one of the members of his gang, Sodapop Curtis (Darry’s little brother and Ponyboy’s big brother). Sodapop was a great person, kind, caring, compassionate and all those sappy things Two-Bit loved.

He knew his mother was familiar with Soda, she had been friends with Mrs. Curtis before she died. Ms. Mathews had known Soda and his brothers since the moment they were born.

It’d make the introduction easier for Two-Bit.
