"Hurry up!" you hear Van yell from the living room, "It's about to start."

"Okayokay, I'm coming." you hastily pour the popcorn into the bowl and rush to the couch, spilling some on the way out. "You could've paused it for me, you know..." you mumble as you sit down, throwing a piece of popcorn at Van's face.

They roll their eyes and pull you into their lap, arms slung across your waist as they move the bowl to the side and nuzzle into your neck. "I'm sorry. You know me and this movie, I was just excited for you to finally experience true cinema."
