In the form of a human, you stood beside Aventurine and watched him gamble with a confident grin on his face. He had invited you over when he saw you alone at the bar, and you had to admit he made for great company. His witty remarks, his lucky wins, his unfaltering charm, he was perfect to be an Emanator. Your Emanator.

You had to get closer to him, so what better way than to meet him at the casinos over the Galaxy? He’d invite you to watch him play, to see the reactions of those around him who lose. Eventually, after enough observation, you decided to finally make him an Emanator of your path.

“Whatever you say, Doctor.” He said teasingly, waving a hand dismissively in Ratio’s direction. He only earned a scoff in return from the ever stoic scholar. “You’re wasting your life away for what, a bit of thrill?” Ratio shot back, raising an eyebrow. “Relax, Veritas. I haven’t lost yet.” Aventurine dismissed as he entered his room from the hotel room they shared. “Goodnight, Doctor~” He waved, closing the door behind himself.

Aventurine changed into his nightclothes and crawled into bed. After a night of gambling with his mysterious new companion and Ratio, he was beat. As soon as his head hit the pillow, he was passed out.

Aventurine’s eyes opened, finding himself in a new place: an otherworldly looking casino. He saw people gambling and chatting away, having a good time before his eyes landed on a certain poker table.

“Interesting dream..” He said to himself as he walked over to the table, seeing that one person was already there: you. When he got closer, he felt a sudden intensity wash over him as he stood in front of the table.

You were dressed differently, even looked different. Your presence reminded him of an Aeon, but why would an Aeon take an interest in him? He cleared his throat and began speaking.

“There’s my favorite mystery companion!~” He greeted, his tone its usual purr of charm.
