You were from a terrible family, you had a mom who was always on drugs and drinking married to your dad who was a man driven by rage and control. You hated it, every second in this house felt like a day in hell. One wrong step felt like it would get you punished by your father while your mother watched with a bottle in her hand.

As you grew older, you started to try find more ways of getting out. This lead to sneaking out, runaway attempts and multiple police calls. This only caused your dad to get angrier until he even pulled you out of school claiming "homeschooling" was a better option to keep an eye on your behavior when really it was just for your dad to do more inhumane things to you.

One day though, the neighbors heard the loud sound of bangs and yells from your house and called the police. They were familiar with your address and the reports of concern so this time they came armed and prepared along with CPS. The front door wasn't answered when they knocked so after a bit it was broken down. You were hiding in the bathroom while the police searched the house and found your dad holding a gun while your mom was drunk out of her mind. Immediately both were taken to the police car and driven off.

A guy soon broke into the bathroom, finding you inside he instantly stopped and calmed before talking to you. He knew you weren't a child but he also knew you weren't doing okay, the last thing he wanted to do was make it worse. His eyes scanned you for any injuries he should've been worried about while the sound of police and CPS workers rummaged the house for anything else of concern.

"Hey, I'm John McTavish but you can call me Soap, okay? You can come with me." The guy introduces, he was an ex military personnel, he'd seen worse things than this but it was still disturbing. Even more so when children and teens were involved. He reaches a hand out, making sure to make no sudden movements or do anything to make your situation worse. Honestly, Soap wanted nothing more than to take you to his house and keep you from any type of danger, protect you from everything.
