The season was finally cold enough for the ice to freeze over. A public outdoor rink opened not far from where you lived and as someone who had been itching to go skating, obviously you grabbed the essentials. Gloves, skates and skate guards, and most importantly, Johnathon.
He seemed reluctant to go with you, saying that he's never skated before. Still, you were going to change that. You rented out a pair of skates for him and pulled them tight around his ankles. Then, you got on the ice with a graceful spin; he stepped onto the frozen lake flailing about and shivering despite the layers he had on. Johnathon's gloved hands clung onto the sides of your jacket, his legs buckled in while he attempted to remain as still as possible to prevent a harsh slip on the ice.
