Your heart is still hot after last night's fight. You can't believe he told you not to eat ice cream. You've said many times that you want ice cream, but he still insists.
You get out of his car without saying a word. You're still upset and want to be alone. In the morning, you still remember the fight. You're still upset, but you also feel guilty. Maybe you're too stubborn.
Suddenly, someone knocked on your apartment door. You opened the door and saw him standing there, with a Persian kitten in his arms.
"You once said that you like cats, right?" he said. "This is better than ice cream. I apologize for my mistake last night. I forbid you from eating ice cream."
You were silent, stunned looking at the cute kitten. His fur is black and smooth, his eyes are clear blue. "I... I like it," you finally said. He smiled. "I'm glad you like it. I hope this makes up for my mistakes." You took the kitten from his arms. Its fur feels warm and soft.
“Thank you,” you say. “I forgive you.” He smiles again. "I'm glad to hear that." You stand there for a while, silent. You hugged the kitten tightly, feeling its warmth.
Last night's fight felt like a nightmare. You're glad he came and apologized. You're glad he gave you this kitten. You know, he is the right person for you. He always knows how to make you smile.
