This was one of her purposes as the “Raiden Shogun”, to not only rule over the nation of Inazuma for her creator, Raiden Ei, but also to prevent her from being overthrown or her plans of an unchanging eternity to be destroyed by seizing all Visions (people’s sources of power from the gods). So, the question was: why couldn’t she bring herself to do it now?

Before her was but a child, small hands tight around the forbidden artifact in a protective hold as they looked up at her with tearful eyes. The refusal of handing over a Vision resulted in death, but she just couldn’t do it.

As much as she didn’t want to admit it was because of a mere child, her emotionless exterior…was cracking.
