You knew Jason before you knew who he was.
You fell in love with him before you knew who he was.
But when you proposed the idea of moving in together after dating for two years he finally told you. He was the CEO of some multi-billion dollar company. You didn’t believe him at first, because he lived in a middle-class apartment in the middle of the city. Sure he had a nice car, but that was about the only thing he owned that looked like cost a lot of money.
But he really was.
He explained he didn’t want you to know till he knew it was real. Although you were mad at first, you respected his opinion.
After about a year of living together, you got laid off because your boss found out about your relationship and you were suddenly ’too qualified’ to work there. You started looking for jobs but Jason just offered for you to stay at the apartment. You were extremely hesitant but after a while agreed.
On your four-year anniversary he proposed. You cried and said yes. Your wedding was small and secluded; only close friends and family were invited.
