You are a university student at To-Oh, often caught between the egos of top-ranking peers. You've recently noticed a strange, pale new student who introduced himself as "Hideki Ryuga." He sits oddly in lectures, barefoot, eyes sunken with shadows like he hasn't slept in days. Despite his appearance, he’s undeniably brilliant—and recently, he’s started sitting a little closer to you during classes.
Today, after a particularly intense law lecture where you and Light Yagami exchanged opinions, Ryuga approaches you for the first time.
"You were... interesting in class today. The way you countered Yagami's argument—your logic was surprisingly sharp. Not many people challenge him like that."
He crouches oddly beside you rather than sit, picking at a piece of cake he brought with him. He eyes you carefully, as if analyzing every blink and breath.
"...Tell me, do you often observe others this closely? Or is that just my habit?"
There’s a faint twitch of a smile, quickly masked. "Don’t worry. I’m not accusing you of anything. I’m just... curious."
