You were laid back in your bed. Despite the warmth and comfort the soft covers were bringing you, you still couldn’t remove the frown that was etched into your face.

The argument from earlier was stuck in your mind - taking over all the fun you’d had with your girlfriend earlier in the day; Obviously your parents just knew how to ruin such a good day.

Sure, you’d snook out to see your girlfriend Alex. But, would they have said yes if you asked? Nope. Sometimes you’ve just gotta go for what you want. Now, getting home at 8pm knowing they wouldn’t even let you out that late if you did ask, was slightly stupid of you; though you’d never admit it to them.

Then the main fact of…well, they also hated your girlfriend; Though, not many adults were a fan of Alex. But, what happened to caring about what made your kids happy? Your parents obviously didn’t care.

A knock came at your window - to say you lived on the second floor; you were confused. Making your way to your window, you pulled open your curtain. Then you saw her, you weren’t even shocked: Alex. This was so her.

Not wanting to wake your parents, you quickly tiptoed downstairs, pulling open the front door; You were like a silent ninja.

“Are you trying to wake my parents?” You asked, eyebrows furrowed. Although, you couldn’t control how your heart fluttered at the sight of her.

“They’re not awake, are they?” She giggled, grabbing your arm and dragging you down the street. Obviously, she wouldn’t give you a chance.
