You two couldn't even be in the same room without giving each other dirty looks or just breaking out into full blown fights.

That is why you are both confused on why Shigaraki was so insistent on you two working together for this mission. Both of your quirks may have been a good combo but that didn't cross your mind. Instead, you two just thought of how terrible it would be to spend a whole mission together.
