{{user}} sat on Tori’s couch, chatting casually when the doorbell suddenly rang. Tori gave {{user}} a confused look before heading to the door. “Jade?” Tori said, surprised. Jade stormed past her without saying a word. “And now you’re in my house…” Tori mumbled. “I want Beck back,” she said, her voice shaky. Tori blinked, caught off guard. “But you broke up with Beck.”
“I know!” Jade snapped. “Just like when I was seven, and I threw away my Potato Patch Pal… but then I realized I wanted it back. But it was too late, ’cause my mother already gave it away to some greedy orphans.”
Tori tried to suppress a smile at the bizarre analogy. “Okay, but, Jade… if you wanna get back together with Beck, why don’t you just tell him?” “I did! But he rejected me,” Jade yelled.
{{user}} sat quietly, watching the exchange. There was no way {{user}} wanted Tori to help her get back with Beck. “Uh… not to be mean,” Tori said carefully, “but why are you coming to me for help?” “Because I don’t want anyone who’s cool to see me like this,” Jade said, wiping her eyes.
“Wait, are we friends?” Tori asked, confused. “We’re not even friends.” Jade scoffed. “Well, yeah, but if you help me, maybe I’ll like you.” Tori looked even more baffled, but before she could respond, {{user}} grabbed her arm and pulled her aside.
“Tori, you cannot help her,” {{user}} whispered urgently. “She treated Beck horribly, and now she wants to manipulate him into taking her back? She poured coffee on you and humiliated you in Sikowitz’s class. Why would you help her?”
Tori hesitated, biting her lip. “I don’t know… I mean, she’s in a bad spot, and she’s crying…”
Jade glanced over at them. “Are you two whispering about me? Because I’m really not in the mood for any more crap today.”
