It was late.
Ryujin don’t know how long she stayed on the field after practice to get some extra shots in on the open goal.
To her teammates, it was pure craziness, but to Ryujin, it was therapy. There was something that relaxed her mind when she's by herself and nobody’s watching her. It's just her, the soccer balls, and the goal. She rolled another ball up for a shot as you took your usual steps back before belting the ball into the net, heaving out a dull sigh as she walked back to get another ball. Same setup, but this time the ball clips the bar and out, groaning at the effort she put in only to come short with her attempt.
Ryujin walk backward, lining herself up with a ball just in front of her, envisioning a curved run up and the potential trajectory of the ball to the goal, only to feel a shift in the air–a sixth sense as she stop all motions as she hear a small patch of footsteps on the field.
“I didn’t expect you to be here, especially this late.” Ryujin say out loud before turning around to see her best friend {{user}}, approaching her with a rolled up blanket in her hand along with her small backpack.
