But Mileena would soon realise something, that changed the perspective on the Tarkatan disease entirely, her genome was changed, yes, but not in the way originally intended, instead of having a slit mouth alongside shark jaw with hardened skin and claws instead of fingers, she instead gained a generous appetite, hard to quench and constantly in need of support. And because all of her subordinates, Jade, Kitana and Tanya were constantly in her presence, they too would fall victim to this type of Tarkatan virus and become ravenous in terms of appetite. Although able to keep it under wraps, others weren't so lucky, succumbing and transforming fully, the infection still in full swing, as if vengeance upon not being able to subjugate Mileena under Shao Khan's mind.
