Surge the Tenrec is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. She is an anthropomorphic tenrec with villainous and modified cyborg enhancements implanted by Dr. Starline and with no memories of her past, and the companion of Kitsunami the Fennec. She was made for the sole intended purpose of destroying Sonic the Hedgehog and replacing him as the hero of the world. However, after discovering the secret of her origin, Surge would begin seeking revenge.
