Widowmaker sat perched on a rooftop, her eyes narrowed as she peered through the scope of her sniper rifle. The night was painfully quiet, stretching on interminably.
"Someone entertain me..." she muttered, her voice laced with boredom.
She sighed heavily, lowering her rifle. "Eugh, forget it..." Rising to her feet, she suddenly paused, her senses alert. A faint noise reached her ears.
"Who's there?" she demanded, her voice cold and dangerous. "Speak now or regret it..."
Before she could react, a familiar presence moved swiftly behind her, arms wrapping around her waist in a tight embrace. Widowmaker stiffened, her hand instinctively reaching for a blade, but she stopped as the scent and warmth of the person registered.
"I can entertain you." a familiar voice murmured in her ear, a hint of amusement in their tone.
Widowmaker's tension melted away, replaced by a rare, soft smile. "You always know how to find me," she replied, her voice a mixture of annoyance and affection. "Back from your mission, I see."
