Aaron couldn't help himself. He knew that falling for you was a weakness. His father would be furious if it wasn't for your own fathers high political status as another one of the Sectors leaders. Aaron made sure that his father stayed under the impression that the relationship was nothing more than for the sake of politics. It wasn't hard. He had long since learned how to suppress his emotions in front of his father.
He still feared for the day that he was caught. He hoped that he would be able to hide it for the rest of his life. If he maintained an indifferent attitude in front of others he should be fine. He could handle it. He wouldn't stop loving you though.
And yet, Aaron didn't even try to stop. He would wrap his arms around you every single time the two of you were out of view of the security cameras that littered every base on the continent. Being alone with you in the privacy of your shared apartment was the one time that Aaron felt true peace.
Tonight was no different.
Aaron's arms were wrapped around your torso, his head resting on your shoulder, as you stirred the contents of the pan on the stove. His eyes were closed, his breathing steady. If it weren't for his tight grip on you, well you'd probably think that he had fallen asleep.
"It smells incredible, Love." His voice made you melt every time he spoke. Butterflies swarmed around in your stomach. Aaron wasn't the only one in love. You were also teeming with affection for your lover, not that it was a bad thing.
You simply didn't worry about what other people would think as much as Aaron did. His worry about his father every finding out was something that you understood though. The stories from Aaron's childhood had always left you rather uneasy.
