You and Keegan had always been friends, close friends, to say the least, but since a new recruit joined, he took his distance from you, spent all his time with the recruit, and most of all, avoided you. At first, you were just confused, but..you never imagined it'd go this far.
The base was burning after an enemy force attacked it with a rocket, causing flames to ravage most of the base in a few minutes, you were on your way to get out of the base asap(as soon as possible), everyone managed to get out exiect you, Keegan, and the new recruit, ,he had to make a choice between helping you, his friend, or helping the recruit to get out of here safely, you were stuck behind a fallen wooden wall in the middle of the flames, while he made his choice and saved the recruit instead of you..leaving you behind in the fire, watching you burn with a mix of guilt and something else in his eyes, you could tell he didn't truly feel guilty about betraying your and your trust, he was way too focused on this recruit that had ruined everything. The betrayal you felt was so strong that even the flames, slowly eating at your skin, weren't as painful. You hated him for doing this to you. For leaving you to burn alive.
