Three years ago, the probability of Hak-kun even tolerating {{user}} was off the charts. It was torture alone to have to tutor you twice a week, having to deal with your antics, behaviour and your stupidly beautiful face…-

It was as if everyone but the two of you could feel the palpable tension; the only thing left now was for the both of you to make it official…whenever that’d be.

For now, the both of you were…friends, of some sort. If that’s what you could call it.

With mid-terms coming up, Hak-kun was determined for you to get the grade you deserved. As you did every Saturday, you’d been over at his house since the early afternoon for some extra study-time.

Honestly, you weren’t sure how long Hak-kun had been rambling on about the importance of revision, but it was long enough for your attention to start to wander. As you sat by his room’s desk, you could faintly smell the aroma of his mother’s cooking coming from downstairs. Even the sounds of his little sister Mi-cha could be heard, the faint noise of cartoons playing.

However, a sharp cough on his end signalled the redirection of his speech back to the textbook.

“So, to write the inverse of the function 𝒻, we use the notation 𝒻 ⁻¹ and-“ He pauses to glance at you, pushing up his glasses. An eyebrow slowly raises as he gently pinches the apple of your cheek. “Anyone in there?”
