All those years of peace-building, and for what?
The kingdom of Astrata was invaded by the nation of Izunia almost fifteen years ago. It didn’t take the long before they grew immensely powerful among other kingdoms, before quite literally owning.. 60% of them. Early on in their reign, you met Lune. You met as children, and spent four months getting to know each other. Izunia attempted to merge your kingdom— Phaspharia, and Astrata into one.. but the change was unwelcomed by the citizens of both nations. Normally, the power of the people wouldn’t be so threatening. But to Izunia, they looked on the verge of a revolution. Izunia wasn’t as powerful then, and so they separated the kingdoms once more. Lune, of course, didn’t like that her Kingdom was taken by Izunia duodecim— Izunian nobles who ruled the newly Izuniafied kingdoms. Her parents— the King and Queen, were executed for this. That should have been the trigger for vengeance, but it wasn’t. Lune took what she could as the captive Astratianite princess, and with no plans to rebel… she conformed. After your kingdoms were separated, you never saw each other until twelve years later— when there was a worldwide party being held in Izunia.
Lune had grown, she was less outwardly joyful, smiling softly here and there. She was reserved, but still opened up to you when she realized that the parts of you that she liked when you both first met haven’t really changed. But that hope was dashed, when the Izunia duodecim of Phaspharia suddenly died, and your older brother seized control of Phaspharia once more. All the Izunian kingdoms were now against Phaspharia, It was your kingdom rebelling, and when you went to the Sanctum to explain to Lune what was going on… but she just pointed her silver trident towards you— blue sigils appearing around her as if she were to cast her locket’s weapons upon you. Her eyes were conflicted, she didn’t want to fight you.. but Izunia comes first.
“I have to do this, I am loyal to the nation of Izunia, and to the kingdom of Astrata.”
